It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) – Wa Metropolis Branch, a vibrant community of private education providers united by a shared commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation in education.

As Chairman, I am proud to lead this dedicated network of school owners, administrators, and educators who continue to play a vital role in shaping the educational landscape of the Upper West Region. Together, we uphold the GNAPS national vision of promoting quality, accessible, and affordable education for all children — guided always by the principle that “The Welfare of the Child is Supreme.”

In the Wa Metropolis, GNAPS serves as a bridge between schools, families, and policymakers — fostering collaboration, professional development, and advocacy to ensure that every private school is empowered to thrive. Through collective effort, we continue to raise standards, share best practices, and support one another in delivering transformative education that meets the needs of our learners and communities.

🏫 WHO WE ARE – GNAPS WA METROPOLIS BRANCH

The Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) – Wa Metropolis Branch is the local representative body of GNAPS, dedicated to advancing the cause of quality, accessible, and affordable private education within the Wa Metropolis and the Upper West Region at large.

As part of the national GNAPS network, the Wa Metropolis Branch works closely with private school owners, administrators, and educators to promote excellence, professionalism, and innovation in teaching and school management.

The branch serves as a platform for collaboration, advocacy, and capacity building, helping schools share best practices, strengthen institutional governance, and improve learning outcomes for children across the metropolis.

Private schools within the Wa Metropolis continue to play a critical role in expanding educational access—especially in communities underserved by public institutions. They contribute significantly to the region’s literacy, skill development, and social advancement by providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for every child.

Through active engagement with the Wa Municipal Education Directorate, the Upper West Regional GNAPS Council, and other stakeholders, GNAPS Wa Metropolis remains committed to ensuring that the welfare of the child remains supreme, while empowering private schools to thrive and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s educational development.
